Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

These verses are comfort and peace to me when times are turbulence when troubles come one after another like waves on a stormy day. 

I painted a scene like this many years back on the Northern Coast at a particularly meaningful time in my life. The canvas is in Canada somewhere but I tried to revisit its imagery today. 

Though things may be choppy and surging we can have peace

in remembering His word. There is peace in Jesus that storms cannot take away!
