Working on the Personal Discipleship Plan -- Jason Brown

Well,  I've been working on the Personal Discipleship Plan (PDP) now for a few weeks.  I've really appreciated the sermon's by Bill and Ken that have encouraged us to take responsibility for our own spiritual growth.

Anyway, if you want some ideas on how to do the PDP with a group -- something I highly recommend -- you can CLICK HERE.  Also, if you want some ideas on how to ask good questions as you process the PDP with others, you can CLICK HERE.  Finally, if you could use some video teaching on making the PDP work, you can CLICK HERE.

As for me, I have committed to reading the Bible in the next year and praying alone every day for five minutes.  I'm going to be doing these things with nine other guys I meet with on Tuesday morning.  All of us in the group have committed to doing this.  When we gather on Tuesday morning, each one of us is going to share how the Lord met us in the scriptures the past week.  And during the five-minute prayer time, all of us are praying that we would be great in God's Kingdom.

Personally, I'm also going to start running as a part of my PDP.  I feel like I need to do some work on the health of my body.  You can pray I'd get over this 6-week long cold thingy so that I can start!  I hope to report that I've started by the time the blog goes out next week.  Feel free to ask if I don't mention anything . . .

How 'bout you?  Where are you at in your Personal Discipleship Plan?  Do you have questions?  Is it hard?  What are you learning?  Do you see the value of it?  Take a minute to post.

Dear all of my wonderful Pastors,

I am so blessed by all of you and your encouragement through this website. I am back home in Montana for the break and I miss services and fellowship so bad! But I have been able to listen to them online and keep up with all that God is doing through you. Thanks for your guidance and your dedication to becoming more like Jesus. I am so glad to be a part of Emmanuel and I can’t wait to see the miracles that will happen this year.

And Jason, I also made a commitment to read through the Bible this year. I have never done it before so I am very excited about what God will teach me.

Thanks again, and I’ll see you all when I get back next week. ?

In His Grace,

Stephanie Dailey
