When we say that we’re Reformed, that means we are part of a group of churches that hold to the five key beliefs of the Reformed faith which are summarized by the acronym F.A.I.T.H.
Fallen Humankind People everywhere are by nature spiritually dead and separated from God. Because we are spiritually dead, we are unable to believe in God without his help.
Adopted by God
God's solution to our condition is his adoption of us into his spiritual family, not based on anything we are or have done, but it is simply in accordance with God’s pleasure and will.
Intentional Atonement
God's Son, Jesus, died on the cross to pay the death penalty for our sin and opened the way for people to be reunited with him. His atonement on the cross was intentional – intended for believers from every people group around the globe whom God has adopted.
Transformed by the Holy Spirit
Believers are transformed or born anew spiritually through the work of God's Holy Spirit, who even gives them the gift of faith.
Held by God
Believers are held securely in God's grip and their salvation is for eternity. Salvation, from start to finish, depends totally on God. Christians do not hang on to God; rather, they rest securely in God’s loving hands.
