What Happens on Sundays

On Sundays we all gather to worship together.  We’re old and young, single and married, white collar, blue collar, and no collar – and every single one of us needs a touch from God.  So we gather and seek God.  We sing with all our hearts.  We lean in to hear Him as His scriptures are preached.  We meet Him in our friends and in the stranger.

Sundays overflow with celebration and energy and hope.  We really just enjoy being together and being in God’s presence, so you can see that on our faces and in the way we greet each other.  And we really need God’s help in our lives – so you can see that, too.  We’re broken people, messed up by struggles in this world and by our own selfishness and by the spiritual forces that work against us.  So we gather because we love to be with God and because we need to be with God.  

Won’t you come join us?  Our services are at 9:00, 10:30 and Noon in the main sanctuary and at 10:15 in the Activity Center.  Our Spanish services are at Noon and 6pm in the Activity Center.

Emmanuel is a place where families worship together.  We try to make our services the kinds of places that children feel welcome and loved and engaged - while still reaching adults of all ages. Of course we have Sunday school programs and incredible youth groups, but we believe that parents are primarily responsible for the spiritual development of their children.  To that end, we encourage whole families to worship together on Sundays and to talk together afterwards about what God is teaching them.
