Our Mission is to deeply connect people to Jesus, people, and mission.

Our mission statement lies behind everything we do as a church, from Children’s Ministries to Sunday mornings to Compton Clean Up days. We can’t think of anything more important than a life giving connection to Jesus that results in deeper relationships with other people and whole-hearted devotion to God’s mission in this world. What it comes down to is thinking, talking and acting more and more like Jesus and intentionally helping others to do the same. That’s what we’re all about, and it’s our perspective of what it means to be followers of Jesus.

What’s Emmanuel like?

Emmanuel Church is full of regular people just like you.   You’ll see all generations, all races and all walks of life gathered to connect more deeply with Jesus, with other people, and with God’s ongoing mission to bless this world.  We’re not very fancy or polished – but we’re living with a passion to follow Jesus more closely all the time and to help others do the same.
Your first time at a church, any church, can bring up some questions.  Here are some of the common ones…

What should I wear?
Most people dress casually here, but as with most things at Emmanuel, we’re diverse.  You’ll see some folks in shorts and flip flops and some in ties or dresses, so come as you feel most comfortable. What we’ll make sure you see when you get here, though, are welcoming faces with smiles on them.

What should I expect in the service?
Our services differ a little bit in style, but whichever one you end up in you’ll always find warm people, uplifting music and a practical message from the scriptures that will help you deal with real life issues.

Is there an offering in the service?
Our offerings are for those who consider Emmanuel their home and who are part of the mission here. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something!

What is available for my kids?
We’re a church that loves to have the whole family in worship so everyone can be together and grow together spiritually.  Of course we have a clean, safe nursery and Sunday school programs staffed by great volunteers.  There is also a cry room if you have you have a fussy infant with you in service.

How do I get there and where should I park?
We reserve a bunch of spaces for guests in our main parking lot right next to the sanctuary.
