Pastor Larry Dove was raised in South Central Los Angeles. After his discharge from the US Army in 1973, he attended California State University, Dominguez Hills and received his degree in computer business applications. Larry believes that 1975 was the most significant turning point of his life. In that year he met his wife Yolanda in May and gave his life to Christ in June. By December, he and Yolanda were married. They consider their marriage a gift from heaven and to each other. Larry was ordained in 1979 and later attended Fuller where he received a MA in Theology in 1994. Yolanda was ordained in 1983 and completed her MPA in 1992. They have been at Emmanuel since 1996. They have 2 children, Marcus (23) and Brittney (21) whom they both love dearly. Yolanda's passion is encouraging young women to find their God given purpose and live it out unashamedly. Larry's passion is multicultural worship and racial reconciliation.
