The civil rights movement in America became pronounced in the 1960's. Did the Reformed Church of America issue any papers regarding their stance on equality during the 60's or 70's?

I'm not sure, Linda. I'm wondering if you might look at this site: http://www.rca.org/Page.aspx?pid=3847. Perhaps you could find something there.

As part of our Journey Class homework, I am to write a blog entry on what I've learned or God is howing me in the Journey Class. ERC mission statement is very clear that WE need to have in our hearts the same love that Jesus had for his people. Without Jesus love would be difficult to fulfill the works of mission for God's people. Otherwords, we need to put our prejudices aside to accept people where they are in life, while sharing and showing the love of Jesus which is in our hearts, mind, behavior and attitude. I do thank God for ERC for the opportunity to learn about becoming a partner in mission.
