1st-4th Sunday School

Growing in wisdom, faith, and friendship – that’s what Sunday School is all about.  Your child will Plug In, Power Up and Catch On with other 1st – 4th graders along side teachers who are communicating truth in a relevant way. Plug In is designed to introduce your child to the weekly topic in a setting that gives them plenty of interaction with a small group leader and their peers.  Power Up is designed to engage your child in worship in a large group setting.  Music, prayer and in innovative approach to the Bible story are always a part of this interactive time.  Catch On is designed to help your child understand how the days topic applies to them.  They will discuss real-life experiences, interact with peers and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles.

At Emmanuel, we're intentional about practicing covenant theology. That means parents and children become actively engaged in learning how to worship together. During the summer months, we take a break from Sunday School and encourage families to worship together. As you accept the challenge to help your children learn to worship, you might find it a little more difficult to worship. You might occasionally lose your focus and concentration, and you might become distracted by what is happening around you. But guess what? Worship isn't about you - it's about God. And I'm pretty sure He doesn't get distracted by our children's efforts at worship - He rejoices! Here at Emmanuel, we're raising worshippers!
